Trump: No Regime Change in Iran, Warns Israel to Halt Airstrikes Amid Fragile Ceasefire
Trump Urges Restraint from Netanyahu, Says Iran’s Nuclear Capabilities Are “Gone” and Ceasefire Must Hold
Watan-U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he does not want to see regime change in Iran, warning that such an outcome would lead to chaos. He insisted that Iran’s nuclear capabilities have been eliminated and cannot be rebuilt.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump stated that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons, and revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had contacted him offering assistance regarding Iran.
Trump confirmed via his platform Truth Social that the ceasefire between Iran and Israel remains in effect, despite both sides accusing each other of violating it.
He posted:“Israel will not attack Iran. All aircraft are returning home, waving politely to Iran as they go. No one will be harmed. The ceasefire is holding.”

He added:“Israel, do not drop bombs on Iran. Doing so would be a serious violation.”
Trump demanded that the Israeli government recall its warplanes immediately.
Trump criticized both Iran and Israel, accusing them of violating the truce, and expressed particular dissatisfaction with Israel.
He said:“These two countries have been fighting for so long and so hard, they don’t even know what they’re doing anymore. Do you understand that?”
According to a report by Axios, citing an Israeli official, Trump personally called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and urged him not to attack Iran.
Netanyahu reportedly responded that he could not fully cancel the planned strike, claiming it was essential because Iran had breached the ceasefire. He promised, however, to scale back the operation, limiting it to a single target.
Despite Trump’s plea, Iranian and Israeli media later confirmed new Israeli airstrikes on Iran Tuesday, contradicting Trump’s earlier statement.
Iran’s Mizan News Agency (linked to the judiciary) reported two explosions in Tehran, while Israel’s Army Radio confirmed that Israel struck an Iranian radar installation near the capital.
These attacks came just minutes after Trump announced that Israel had canceled its strike at his request to maintain the ceasefire.
