Iran: No Threat to Residents Near U.S.-Struck Nuclear Sites

Government assures safety of civilians in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow after American airstrikes

Watan-Iran confirmed on Sunday that there is “no danger” to residents living near the nuclear facilities targeted by the United States.

Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani told state television:“There is no danger to residents in our nuclear areas. The people of Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow can continue their lives normally.”

The U.S. military, in coordination with Israel, launched aerial attacks targeting Iran’s most fortified nuclear sites, including the underground Fordow facility, as part of an unprecedented escalation in the regional conflict. The strikes were intended to degrade Iran’s uranium enrichment capabilities and were viewed as a major development in the ongoing Israel-Iran confrontation.

Despite the precision targeting, fears arose about potential fallout or secondary risks to nearby populations. However, Iranian authorities have dismissed these concerns, emphasizing that the sites were largely evacuated beforehand, and critical material had been relocated.
