Trump Sets Two-Week Deadline for Iran Amid Nuclear Tensions

U.S. President Rebukes Intelligence Chief Over Iran, Warns of Potential Strikes Without European Support

Watan-U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard was mistaken in claiming there was no evidence Iran is developing a nuclear weapon.

Trump also declared that Europe would not be able to offer much help in the ongoing war between Iran and Israel.

He said, “Europe will not be able to help in this war.”

In a statement posted on social media, Trump added that his decision regarding Iran will come within two weeks, calling it “a time to see whether or not people come to their senses.”

Meanwhile, European foreign ministers on Friday urged Iran to engage with Washington over its nuclear program, following the conclusion of talks in Geneva aimed at launching negotiations over a new nuclear deal—though no clear progress was reported.

Trump announced that Iran now has a maximum of two weeks to avoid potential U.S. military strikes, following his earlier remarks that he would decide within that same period whether to take military action.

When asked whether he might act sooner, Trump replied, “I’m giving them some time. Two weeks is the maximum.”
