Watan-On Thursday, Al-Qassam Brigades and Al-Quds Brigades announced the sniping of an Israeli soldier and the destruction of three tanks and a bulldozer in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said they sniped an Israeli soldier east of Al-Muntar Street in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood of Gaza City on June 6.
The group added that its fighters destroyed three Israeli tanks using powerful explosive devices east of Jabalia town in northern Gaza. The remains of the tanks, it said, were scattered across the area following the operation on June 15.
Separately, Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, announced that its fighters destroyed an Israeli military vehicle using a barrel explosive device south of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza.
In another operation on June 16, Al-Quds Brigades reported that its fighters detonated a landmine targeting an Israeli military vehicle near Riyad Al-Salihin Mosque, east of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.

Additionally, the group said they destroyed an Israeli D9 military bulldozer in Khan Younis using a pre-planted explosive barrel.
These attacks come as part of the Palestinian factions’ response to what they describe as Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, with full U.S. backing. The war has involved mass killings, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in defiance of international calls and International Court of Justice orders to halt the aggression.
The war has so far resulted in around 186,000 Palestinians killed or injured, the majority of them children and women, with over 11,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine claiming the lives of many, including children.
Israel has imposed a siege on Gaza for 18 years, and the current war has left around 1.5 million out of 2.4 million residents homeless after their houses were destroyed.
