Israel Kills 51 Palestinians Waiting for Aid in Gaza’s Khan Younis in Latest Massacre

Israeli Forces Open Fire on Civilians Gathering for Food Aid, Raising Tuesday’s Death Toll to 63.

Watan-At least 51 Palestinians were martyred and dozens injured—many critically—on Tuesday morning when Israeli forces opened fire on civilians waiting for humanitarian food aid in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. This brought Tuesday’s total death toll to 63.

According to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), citing medical sources, the massacre occurred at the Desalination Junction in Khan Younis where aid was being distributed.

The Civil Defense in Gaza confirmed that at least 47 Palestinians were killed and more than 200 others were wounded by Israeli fire during the attack.

Describing it as “a new massacre against the starving,” Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said, “At least 47 martyrs and over 200 injured, including children, were transferred to Nasser Hospital after Israeli forces opened fire on thousands gathered near a flour distribution center by the desalination plant in eastern Khan Younis.”

Hospitals reported severe overcrowding in emergency rooms, ICUs, and surgical departments due to the overwhelming number of casualties. Medical staff are operating with critically limited supplies of life-saving drugs and materials.

Elsewhere, Israeli forces also fired at aid-seekers near the al-Akwakh area west of Rafah.

It is important to note that for weeks, Israeli forces have repeatedly targeted aid distribution points in both Rafah and central Gaza—resulting in dozens of casualties. According to UN assessments, these actions appear to be part of a deliberate strategy of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing.

Since the start of the new aid distribution mechanism on May 27, 2025, over 300 Palestinians have been killed, and hundreds more wounded.

These aid centers—particularly those operated by the Israeli-American “Gaza Humanitarian Relief Organization,” rejected by the UN—have effectively become sites of mass killing, reinforcing accusations of systematic abuse and forced displacement under catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
