Iran Launches New Wave of Missiles and Drones at Israel in “True Promise 3” Operation
Fifth Day of Direct War Sees Escalating Attacks as Tehran and Tel Aviv Trade Heavy Fire; U.S. Missile Defense Joins Interception Efforts.
Watan-Iranian state media reported Tuesday evening that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a new wave of missiles and drones toward Israel, under the ongoing “True Promise 3” operation, marking the fifth consecutive day of direct military confrontation between the two nations.
According to Iranian state television,“The tenth wave of the ‘True Promise 3’ operation has begun on the occupied territories.”
News agency Tasnim clarified that the attack involved missiles and UAVs launched from within Iran.
Earlier Strikes and Israeli Casualties
Earlier Tuesday, Israel’s Channel 7 reported that Iran fired 8 missiles at Israel in a second strike within 24 hours. Israel Hayom said two missiles landed in open areas, one inside a settlement in the northern West Bank, while the fate of the others remains unknown. It was not confirmed if they were intercepted.

Israel’s national emergency service, Magen David Adom, reported that four Israelis were lightly injured while rushing to shelters after sirens sounded across Tel Aviv (Gush Dan), Jerusalem, and other areas.
Panic swept Israeli streets, with videos circulating on social media showing settlers fleeing to bus stops for cover, unable to reach shelters in time.
U.S.-Israel Defense Coordination Confirmed
During an earlier round of attacks on Tuesday morning, Iran launched dozens of missiles, one of which hit a building in greater Tel Aviv, injuring five people, according to Israeli media.
Channel 12 quoted an unnamed security source stating that the U.S. THAAD missile defense system participated in intercepting some Iranian missiles—an indication of increasing military coordination between the U.S. and Israel during the current conflict.

Israeli Army and Civil Defense Reactions
On Tuesday evening, the Israeli military issued a short statement announcing that the Home Front Command had lifted shelter-in-place orders, but urged continued vigilance, warning:“The defense is not fully secured.”
Local media broadcast footage of Israeli soldiers fleeing and checkpoints closing, notably at the Beit Furik crossing near Nablus, amid fears of incoming missile fire.
