Massacre of the Starving: 68 Killed in 24 Hours as Israel Intensifies Strikes on Gaza Aid Zones

Over 40 Palestinians killed near a U.S.-Israeli aid distribution site in Rafah; hospitals overwhelmed as Israeli forces target displaced civilians, homes, and field hospitals across the Gaza Strip.

Watan-Israeli forces continue their bloody campaign in Gaza, targeting civilians near food aid distribution centers, displacement zones, and areas of ground invasion, as casualties continue to mount.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that in the past 24 hours alone, 68 Palestinians were killed and 182 wounded, bringing the total toll since October 7, 2023, to 55,432 martyrs and 128,923 injuries. Many remain under rubble or on roads, unreachable by rescue or medical crews due to active fire.

Among the dead, 40 were killed while attempting to collect food aid, raising the total number of “breadline martyrs” to 340, with over 2,831 wounded near U.S.-Israeli managed distribution points.

New Massacre in Rafah: “Starving for Bread”

In Rafah, Israeli forces committed a massacre Monday at a food aid distribution point west of the city. From dawn until the afternoon, Red Cross hospitals in Khan Younis received 40 bodies and over 200 injured—50 in critical condition.

Witnesses said Israeli soldiers opened fire on a large crowd of civilians—including children, women, and the elderly—as they approached the U.S.-backed aid area. The site lies in a zone fully occupied by Israeli ground troops, and victims were carried manually by exhausted civilians due to the lack of safe medical access.

Despite dire conditions and minimal emergency care, Israeli forces fired directly at the Red Cross field hospital, endangering patients and medical staff. The Health Ministry condemned these acts, demanded urgent reopening of Gaza European Hospital, and urged the creation of safe aid distribution alternatives that do not turn food lines into death traps.

Other Strikes Across Gaza

  • In northern Gaza, artillery hit Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, and Beit Lahiya, forcing mass displacement. Ten more civilians were shot while waiting for food aid in Beit Lahiya. A massive fire broke out in Jabalia following direct shelling.

  • In Gaza City, paramedics recovered the bodies of three members of the Harazin family after a strike on Shuja’iyya neighborhood. An Israeli warship also targeted a Palestinian fishing boat, killing two fishermen and leaving a third missing at sea.

  • In central Gaza, five people were killed in an airstrike on the Abu Ghaliba family home in eastern Deir al-Balah late Sunday. Continuous shelling struck areas near Nuseirat Camp and the Netzarim axis, where Israeli forces deny access.

  • Another Israeli airstrike hit the Rabi family home near the Ministry of Industry, close to Al-Ansar Mosque in central Deir al-Balah, leaving multiple injuries.

Relentless Attacks on Khan Younis

In southern Gaza, Khan Younis remains under intense ground invasion. Artillery shelling targeted eastern and central areas, including Abasan, Al-Qarara, Hamad Towers, and areas around Al-Namsawi Cemetery and Qizan Abu Rashwan.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel—with full U.S. backing—has imposed a brutal siege on Gaza, killing over 55,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, and wounding over 128,000. At least 11,000 remain missing, and mass starvation is spreading, claiming many lives, including children.
