90-Year-Old Palestinian women Forced into Second Displacement Amidst Ongoing Gaza Crisis

Watan-A circulated video shows a 90-year-old Palestinian woman who witnessed the first Nakba in 1948 and is currently experiencing a new tragedy, having been forcibly displaced from northern Gaza to the southern besieged area. This comes after three-quarters of a century since her initial displacement.

The Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip continue, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries, amidst the collapse of the healthcare system and hospitals for the 35th consecutive day.

Hajja ‘An’am,’ displaced twice by the occupier from her homeland

Meanwhile, hundreds of families inside Gaza were compelled on Friday to evacuate to its southern regions under the weight of the bombardment and destruction caused by the Israeli occupation forces.

Hajja ‘An’am, who was born before the Zionist entity’s occupation of Palestine—meaning her age surpasses that of the occupation itself—appeared in a distressing posture, leaning on a young woman and a man believed to be relatives, walking with difficulty.

In the background of the video, a voice can be heard saying that Hajja ‘An’am suffered displacement in 1948, and now she is enduring a new displacement at the hands of the occupying aggressor.

Another person’s voice is heard saying, ‘May God help her; she walked from the Sweden Roundabout.’

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Friday that the death toll of Palestinians in Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip for the second month has risen to over 11,000 martyrs and 2,700 missing.

The ministry’s spokesperson, Ashraf al-Qudra, stated during a press conference that 260 Palestinians were martyred in the past 24 hours due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes.

The occupation’s bombardment has also led to the suspension of 18 out of 35 hospitals, and 71% of all primary care facilities across Gaza have been closed due to damage and fuel shortages.
