Trump: Israeli Strike on Iran’s Nuclear Sites “Plausible,” Tehran Vows Massive Retaliation
As Trump signals the possibility of an Israeli attack, Iran warns it will rebuild its nuclear program and respond with unprecedented force
Watan-U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that Israel may launch a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities, noting that Tehran could avoid such an outcome by offering more in its ongoing negotiations with Washington.
When asked by reporters whether an Israeli strike was imminent, Trump replied,“I don’t want to say it’s close, but it does seem like something that could happen.”
Earlier Thursday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran would rebuild its nuclear facilities if they were destroyed.
“It’s not true that if they bomb our facilities, everything will be lost,” said Pezeshkian. “These capabilities exist in our minds, and no matter what they do, we will rebuild them.”
Meanwhile, Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Salami, told state media that Iran’s response to any Israeli aggression would be “stronger and more devastating” than previous attacks.
This comes after Iran confirmed it had received a warning of a potential Israeli strike.
