Dozens Killed as Israeli Forces Fire on Gaza Aid Site, Including Three Medics
At least 36 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in central Gaza after Israeli forces opened fire near a U.S.-supported aid distribution site and targeted medics attempting rescue operations.

Watan-Local health authorities in Gaza reported that at least 17 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured on Tuesday after Israeli forces opened fire as thousands approached a humanitarian aid distribution site run by the U.S.-backed Gaza Relief Organization in central Gaza. The total number of Palestinians killed on Tuesday has now risen to 36.
Medical sources confirmed that 19 more Palestinians were killed and over 200 injured due to Israeli shelling and gunfire targeting civilians waiting for food near the so-called Netzarim corridor in central Gaza.
Victims were transported to Al-Awda Hospital, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central region, and Al-Quds Hospital in western Gaza City.
According to an earlier statement by the Palestinian Media Center, “since early dawn hours, medical teams at Al-Quds Hospital have received 12 martyrs and over 124 injuries due to Israeli targeting of citizens gathering to receive aid at the Netzarim corridor.”
The Palestinian Press Agency (Safa) noted that dozens of civilians have been killed at U.S.- and Israeli-supported aid distribution sites since their operation began late last month.

Targeting of Medics:
In a separate incident, three Palestinian paramedics were killed when an Israeli tank shell struck them as they tried to rescue wounded civilians from a home in Gaza City.
A statement from the Medical Services Directorate of Gaza’s Ministry of Interior said:”We mourn the loss of three emergency medical staff members who were martyred by Israeli fire while carrying out their humanitarian duty.”
The strike occurred in the Tuffah neighborhood in northeast Gaza City during the night, when the medics attempted to recover wounded individuals from a targeted home. They were hit directly by tank shelling and died instantly.
Another ambulance crew attempting to retrieve their bodies was fired upon by Israeli ground vehicles and drones.
After hours of effort, rescue teams were finally able to retrieve the bodies of the martyrs by morning.
Calls for International Investigation:
The Medical Services Directorate called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to urgently open an international investigation into the repeated targeting of medical crews, demanding protection for healthcare workers in war zones.
Despite the grave risks, the Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to continue humanitarian operations in Gaza under ongoing Israeli attacks.
