Israeli Settlers Set Fire to Palestinian Homes and Farms in Deir Dibwan

Large fires erupt near Ramallah as Israeli settlers attack homes, stables, and olive groves—part of a growing wave of violence in the occupied West Bank.

Watan-Widespread fires broke out on Wednesday evening around the village of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah in the central West Bank, following an attack by Israeli settlers targeting Palestinian homes and farmland—the latest in a surge of settler violence across the occupied territory.

According to the official Voice of Palestine radio, settlers attacked a sheep farm, a house, and a horse stable in the village, setting them ablaze as thick smoke rose from the scene.

The station posted video footage on its Telegram account showing large fires and smoke clouds rising in the area.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attacks extended to homes, agricultural fields, and olive trees throughout the village.

In parallel with the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers have intensified their assaults in the West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem. According to Palestinian figures, at least 973 Palestinians have been killed, nearly 7,000 injured, and over 17,000 arrested in the West Bank since October 7, 2023.

Backed by the United States, Israel has been carrying out a genocide in Gaza since that date, leaving nearly 180,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, the majority of them children and women, with over 11,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.
