Palestinian Red Crescent Conducts Complex Medical Evacuation from Northern Gaza Hospital
In coordination with the WHO, the Red Crescent evacuates injured patients and medical staff from the besieged Indonesian Hospital amid worsening humanitarian conditions.
Watan-The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced Monday evening that it had carried out a complex humanitarian evacuation from the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza, in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO).
In a statement, the Red Crescent said:“Our teams, in coordination with the World Health Organization, conducted a complex humanitarian evacuation from the Indonesian Hospital in northern Gaza. The operation included the evacuation of three injured individuals, 34 medical personnel, and two accompanying individuals, under extremely dangerous security conditions and worsening humanitarian circumstances in the area.”
The organization stated that:“The operation was executed after hours of precise field coordination, as part of ongoing efforts to protect health teams and provide care to the wounded in safer locations, given the catastrophic health situation in northern Gaza caused by the strict blockade and repeated targeting of medical facilities.”
The Palestinian Red Crescent emphasized that the mission is part of its deep-rooted humanitarian and national responsibility to protect lives and support the community. It reiterated its firm commitment to supporting medical personnel and relief workers, despite the serious risks and growing challenges on the ground.
