Watan-American star Robert De Niro, in an interview with Agence France-Presse on Wednesday, stated that many Hollywood stars share his critical views of U.S. President Donald Trump, but are hesitant to voice their opinions out of fear of his backlash.

Regarding those working in Hollywood, De Niro said, “They have big companies, and they worry about Trump’s anger. They have to choose: surrender or say no?”

The actor also pointed to some universities and law firms that have resisted attempts by Trump’s administration to intimidate them, stating: “This is important because others notice, and when they see people resisting, it gives them the power and inspiration to do the same.”
