The Real Meaning of “Destroying Hamas”: A Call for Mass Annihilation in Gaza

Haaretz Article Exposes the Logic Behind Israel’s War Rhetoric: Eradicating Hamas Means Eradicating Gaza’s Men — and Beyond.

Watan-Everyone supports the destruction of Hamas. Who’s against it? No one. The extremists want to do it before freeing the hostages. The moderates say, “First, we free the hostages, then we destroy them.” But this conversation is a deception that needs to be unmasked. Destroying Hamas means annihilating a people — or wiping out all the men of Gaza. It’s mass destruction with a seemingly rational cover.

Destroying Hamas may appear to be a legitimate goal, especially after October 7, but it cannot be achieved without destroying all of Gaza. That’s why it’s a criminal goal. As long as the occupation continues, this aim will never be achieved — even if they stop calling the resistance “Hamas.” One cycle after another, resistance will rise again, and Israel will destroy it again.

What’s happening now is a mass slaughter of men in Gaza under the pretext of destroying Hamas — yet this is rarely discussed. A handful of Israelis with a conscience, and international public opinion, focus mostly on the women and children being slaughtered on a hellish scale. Except for the fascists in Israel and in the Knesset, no human being can remain indifferent to the sight of dying children in Gaza. But this humanitarian focus on women and children inadvertently legitimizes the killing of men, who are seen as neither innocent nor naive.

“Eliminating Hamas” Means Killing a Generation: Gaza’s Men and Boys Marked for Death

You can’t destroy Hamas without eliminating all men and youth in Gaza. Every man still breathing in Gaza — especially those earning a living — is in some way connected to Hamas. In a blockaded land ruled by a dominant political movement, every nurse, accountant, school driver, traffic officer, or market organizer — even a child in daycare — is deemed linked to Hamas. These people, like Hamas fighters, are marked for elimination. And in the process, thousands more are allowed to die as “collateral damage.”

The reality is that this war is not between two armies. It is between a massive military and, at best, what can be called a ragtag militia. Israel doesn’t consider them soldiers — “terrorist” is a very elastic term. In the West Bank too, executing a child holding a stone is now permissible under the pretense of countering terrorism.

Hundreds of thousands of children — war orphans, amputees, displaced, hungry, sick, and their future grandchildren — will grow up and want to resist. They can only be stopped by killing them all. A whole generation will rightly seek revenge — with Hamas or with another movement. The new children of death won’t read Hamas’ charter; they’ll only know the laws of resistance. Killing them — that’s what “eliminating Hamas” really means. And the tens of thousands of grieving fathers in Gaza will want to join the fight against those who killed their sons — and they too must be killed.

From “Mowing the Grass” to Mass Annihilation: The True Cost of Israel’s War Doctrine in Gaza

The world’s “most moral army” will call this “mowing the grass.” And there will always be another mowing season as long as the occupation continues.

Is killing men and youth in Gaza less criminal than killing women and children? Doubtful. While women and children are the universal symbols of innocence, after this war, innocence no longer exists in Gaza. Everyone there is helpless. No one is uninvolved anymore. After 19 months of terror, indiscriminate bombardment, and criminal airstrikes, even a displaced person trying to return to the ruins of their home is deemed a threat, a person worthy of death — just like the 1948 refugees who were labeled “infiltrators” and marked for death.

Trying to protect your children? That’s involvement. A grandmother trying to save her grandson? Also involved — and must be killed, along with everyone around her. This is the real meaning of “destroying Hamas.”

From Yair Lapid to Bezalel Smotrich — all of Israel supports this.
