Watan-The Government Media Office in Gaza announced on Wednesday that the number of Palestinian victims has risen to 102 killed and 193 wounded due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes over the past 24 hours.
According to a statement from the office, the victims were killed in a series of massacres committed by Israel in densely populated areas in central and northern Gaza, as part of what officials describe as an ongoing genocide over the past 19 months.
The highest number of casualties occurred from a direct Israeli strike on Abu Hmaysa School in Al-Bureij refugee camp and Al-Mansoura displacement camp in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, on Tuesday—both locations where dozens of Palestinian families had sought refuge from continuous bombardment.
Israeli Strikes Hit Gaza Restaurant and Market, Kill 33 Including Journalist
The death toll from the attack on the Thai Restaurant and the Palmira junction in central Gaza rose to 33, with over 80 injured. These locations, in the busy Al-Wahda Street area, were packed with civilians and commercial vendors when the strike occurred.
A medical source reported that several of the injured are in critical condition, suggesting the number of fatalities may increase in the coming hours.
The coordinated Israeli bombing of the Thai Restaurant and Palmira intersection—a bustling commercial zone—resulted in widespread destruction and civilian casualties.
Among the victims was journalist Yahya Subaih, bringing the total number of journalists killed since October 7, 2023, to 214.
Palestinian activists circulated graphic video footage on social media showing the immediate aftermath of the bombing—bodies and wounded civilians scattered across Al-Wahda Street, covered in blood, as thick smoke filled the air. Civilians rushed to rescue the injured and retrieve the dead.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military continues to commit large-scale massacres against Palestinian civilians, drawing local and international condemnation but little practical action to prevent further atrocities.
