Soldiers’ Testimonies: Unveiling the Horrors of Gaza’s Ground Battles

Watan-Israeli occupation soldiers recounted some of the horrors they faced during the war with Palestinian resistance in the ground battles in the Gaza Strip. This occurred during a visit by Netanyahu to several wounded soldiers receiving treatment, where one soldier was asked about his experience.

The soldier mentioned that his task was operational documentation, accompanying the spokesperson of the Israeli army, and he joined the Engineering Unit 614. They were on foot towards Jabalia when a rocket-propelled grenade was fired at them from behind. Netanyahu responded, claiming that Israel stands by them.

Another soldier talked about working throughout the night in one of the fronts, with a military unit underneath them in the morning. They were hit by a shell, resulting in the death of two soldiers and the injury of three others. He explained that his injury was severe, and after applying a bandage, he was medically evacuated via a Humvee and then a helicopter.

A very powerful explosive device

Another soldier mentioned that they fought for two continuous weeks, searching for a tunnel opening, knowing an attack was imminent. There was a tunnel opening inside a building rigged with explosives, which was detonated.

He noted that the explosive device was very powerful, causing the death of four soldiers and injuring five others.

Documenting the extent of the losses of the occupation army

The testimonies of Israeli soldiers documenting the horrors they experienced in Gaza indicate the magnitude of the losses that the occupation army is trying to conceal.

The losses of the occupation are catastrophic
The losses of the occupation are catastrophic in Gaza and far exceed the officially declared figures

Official statistics from the Israeli army state that the number of officers and soldiers killed since the ground operation on October 27th reached 224. However, many analysts doubt these numbers, believing them to be higher. Even the soldiers’ testimonies themselves suggest larger casualty numbers compared to what the Israeli army announces, which is accustomed to declaring the death of more than one or two soldiers every day.
