Israeli Airstrike Kills Islamic Jihad Spokesperson Abu Hamza in Gaza
Palestinian Islamic Jihad mourns the loss of its military wing’s spokesperson, Abu Hamza, in an Israeli airstrike that also claimed the lives of his family members.
Watan-The Islamic Jihad Movement announced on Tuesday the martyrdom of “Abu Hamza,” the spokesperson for its military wing, Saraya al-Quds, in an Israeli airstrike in central Gaza.
Since early Tuesday morning, Israel has intensified its acts of extermination with violent and widespread airstrikes targeting civilians, resulting in “404 martyrs and more than 562 injuries” as of 10:00 AM GMT, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
Islamic Jihad Mourns Assassination of Spokesperson Abu Hamza
In a statement, the movement said:”We mourn to our great Palestinian people and to the Arab and Islamic nations the martyrdom of leader Naji Abu Saif (Abu Hamza), the spokesperson for Saraya al-Quds, who was assassinated by the criminal army in a treacherous attack that also targeted his family and his brother’s family.”
It added:”Abu Hamza was one of the prominent voices of the Palestinian resistance, known for his eloquence and boldness in expressing steadfast positions defending the rights of the Palestinian people.”
The movement emphasized that “his assassination by the Zionist occupation is part of a series of brutal massacres that have claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent people, including children and women, with the support and encouragement of the U.S. administration, while the world remains silent.”
