Explosives Around His Neck & 8 Hours as a Human Shield
According to Palestinian and media sources, Israeli forces—including the Nahal Brigade, Karmeli Brigade, and Multi-Dimensional Unit—stormed Al-Zaytoun and detained the elderly man and his wife from their home. Unable to flee due to their age and lack of safe alternatives, they were taken by force.
Instead of releasing them, a senior officer from the Nahal Brigade reportedly strapped an explosive belt around the elderly man’s neck, warning him that any wrong move would trigger detonation. He was then forced to walk ahead of Israeli soldiers as a human shield for eight consecutive hours, inspecting homes before they entered to ensure there were no resistance fighters or explosives inside.

After hours of forced use as a human shield, the elderly man and his wife were ordered to leave the area and head south. However, just 100 meters away, another Israeli unit opened fire on them in cold blood, killing them instantly.
