Hamas Warns Against Foreign Intervention in Gaza: “Any Force Will Be Treated as an Occupier”

Amid reports of an Arab-led plan to govern Gaza post-war, Hamas vows fierce resistance against any attempt to replace Israeli occupation with foreign forces.

Watan-Amid regional and international efforts to reshape the landscape in Gaza following the ongoing Israeli aggression, senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan issued strong warnings, affirming that any party attempting to replace the Israeli occupation in Gaza will be treated as an occupier and will be resisted by all means.

This stance comes in response to reports about a “alternative Arab plan” being secretly prepared, revolving around deploying Arab or international forces in the Strip to oversee its administration under the guise of reconstruction and disarming the resistance.

According to media reports, this plan is said to have the backing of certain Arab parties and aims to diminish Hamas’ role and remove it from the political and military scene in Gaza, aligning with U.S. and Israeli pressures to weaken the Palestinian resistance.

Hamas Rejects External Impositions

Hamdan asserted that Hamas will not allow any party to dictate a surrender of its right to resist the occupation or to govern Gaza in its place. He stressed that true legitimacy in Gaza stems from the Palestinian people and their resistance, not from externally imposed political settlements. He added that any attempt to impose a solution on the resistance through political or military pressure will be met with fierce opposition.

“Arab Zionists” and Trump’s Plans

Hamas’ firm stance comes amid efforts by some Arab states—particularly the UAE, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia—to devise an alternative to the forced displacement plan advocated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and supported by former U.S. President Donald Trump. Instead of displacing Gaza’s population to Sinai or Jordan, some Arab states are promoting an “Arab option” that involves replacing the Israeli occupation with Arab forces, in a step aimed at bringing Gaza under Palestinian Authority control and weakening the resistance factions.

Hamas: No Alternative to Resistance

Hamas reaffirmed that any future settlement must respect the sacrifices of the Palestinian people and their right to resist the occupation. The movement emphasized that no Arab or international efforts will succeed in imposing a new reality in Gaza without the consent of the Palestinian people. It also reiterated its openness to dialogue with all Palestinian factions but rejected any attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause under the pretext of “reconstruction” or “regional stability.”

Resistance Continues

As these developments unfold, Gaza remains a flashpoint in the war between the occupation and the resistance. Any plan aimed at removing the resistance from the equation will face strong retaliation from Hamas and other Palestinian factions. According to Hamas leaders, resistance is not up for negotiation or compromise, and Gaza will remain a stronghold of Palestinian resistance.
