The UAE’s Plot in the Arab League to Pass Trump’s Gaza Displacement Plan
Arab diplomatic sources reveal details of the UAE’s efforts within the Arab League to push forward a U.S.-Israeli plan for Palestinian displacement and post-war Gaza administration.
Watan-Arab diplomatic sources have revealed details of the UAE’s alleged plot within the Arab League to push forward former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan—coordinated with Israel—to facilitate the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
The sources discussed communications regarding the emergency Arab summit set to take place in Cairo on February 27, stating that while there was broad consensus on rejecting the forced displacement of Gaza’s residents in the final statement, the UAE caused controversy by insisting on modifying the wording.
An Arab diplomat stated that recent talks led by Egypt and Jordan resulted in a broad agreement on several key principles for the summit’s final communiqué, foremost among them the categorical rejection of Palestinian displacement, whether from Gaza or the West Bank.
However, the UAE reportedly insisted on adding the word “forcible” to the phrase “categorical rejection of displacement,” thereby limiting its opposition to only forced expulsion.
Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently announced that Cairo would host an emergency Arab summit on February 27 to address the critical developments in the Palestinian issue.
Two days ago, diplomatic sources disclosed the UAE’s support for Trump’s plan for ethnic cleansing and the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza, with the hope that it would ultimately eliminate Palestinian resistance factions.
According to sources cited by “Emarat Leaks,” the UAE leadership conveyed oral messages to senior Trump administration officials expressing Abu Dhabi’s backing for the plan and its willingness to contribute financially to its implementation.
The sources further revealed that the UAE proposed hosting a limited number of Gaza residents, particularly members of the reformist faction associated with Mohammed Dahlan—who serves as a special advisor to the UAE president—along with their families as part of Trump’s plan.
The UAE reportedly believes that displacing Gaza’s residents is the only way to fully dismantle Palestinian resistance and permanently end the recurring crises caused by ongoing tensions in the Strip.
Furthermore, the UAE views Trump’s proposed “control” of Gaza and the subsequent displacement of its Palestinian population as a solution that may cause short-term unrest but will provide a long-term resolution—even if it involves a severe escalation of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing against Palestinians in Gaza.
The UAE disregards the fact that international humanitarian law prohibits the permanent forced displacement of populations from occupied territories, classifying it as a war crime when carried out with criminal intent. If such displacement occurs as part of a widespread or systematic attack against civilians reflecting state policy, it constitutes a crime against humanity.
According to UAE officials, the extensive destruction in Gaza—a result of Israeli policies—has rendered large parts of the Strip uninhabitable, making Gulf-funded reconstruction efforts futile as long as Hamas and other resistance factions remain active, potentially leading to renewed conflict with Israel.
Trump has proposed large-scale displacement of Palestinians and U.S. “control” over Gaza as a potential policy response to the devastation there. He made these remarks while standing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose government is responsible for these policies and is a key UAE ally.
Since October 2023, Israeli authorities have deliberately engaged in mass forced displacement of Palestinian civilians in Gaza, with some being displaced multiple times. Senior Israeli officials have openly expressed intentions to remove Gaza’s Palestinian population.
Additionally, Israeli authorities have deliberately created living conditions aimed at destroying a portion of Gaza’s Palestinian population by depriving them of food, water, and other essentials necessary for survival—actions that constitute crimes against humanity, including genocide.
Trump’s remarks on Gaza have been widely rejected—not only by neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan but also by many other governments, including Germany, Australia, Ireland, the UK, Brazil, China, Russia, and the United Nations Human Rights Commission.
Hebrew media outlets previously revealed details of the UAE’s alleged conspiracy with Israel to suppress Palestinian resistance in Gaza after the war by imposing new administrative arrangements if a ceasefire holds and the Israeli military campaign ends.
According to reports from Israel Hayom, Abu Dhabi has initially agreed to assume responsibility for administering Gaza post-war. The UAE’s goal is reportedly to rebuild the area in a way that neutralizes any potential threat to Israel.
Diplomatic sources also disclosed the core elements of the UAE-Israel plan for post-war Gaza, which revolves around eliminating the Palestinian resistance. The plan allegedly includes deploying military contractors (mercenaries) in Gaza and granting Israel overarching authority to manage and oversee the Strip while sidelining Hamas and resistance factions in the long term.
