Israel Kills 39 Palestinians in Gaza Aid Zone Strikes Amid Rising Humanitarian Toll
Israeli Airstrikes Hit Civilians Waiting for Aid in Central Gaza, Bringing Total Deaths Near U.S.-Backed Distribution Points to 467.
Watan-At least 39 Palestinians were martyred and dozens injured at dawn and in the early morning hours of Tuesday in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas of Gaza City and gatherings of civilians waiting for humanitarian aid south of Wadi Gaza in central Gaza Strip.
According to medical sources and a statement from Al-Awda (Ahli) Hospital in central Gaza, at least 37 Palestinians were killed by Israeli shelling and gunfire that struck gatherings of civilians awaiting aid near the Netzarim axis and a home in eastern Gaza City.
In its statement, Al-Awda Hospital said:“We received 19 martyrs and 146 injuries resulting from the Israeli targeting of aid-seeking civilians on Salah al-Din Street south of Wadi Gaza.”
The hospital added that around 62 cases were critically injured and transferred to other central Gaza hospitals, without further details.
A medical source at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza reported receiving “7 martyrs and over 60 injuries, including 10 in critical condition,” due to Israeli attacks near the Netzarim corridor.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that bodies of martyrs remained on the ground near the Netzarim axis, as rescue efforts were impossible due to the dangerous conditions.

As of Monday, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli fire while attempting to reach food and aid distribution points, now known as the “U.S.-Israeli mechanism”, has reached 467 dead and 3,602 injured, with 39 still missing, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health and the Government Media Office.
Since May 27, Tel Aviv has begun distributing limited aid via the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”, an Israeli- and U.S.-backed initiative rejected by the United Nations and international aid organizations.
In a related incident, a medical source at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City reported that the death toll from an Israeli airstrike on a home in the Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of the city, rose from 5 to 8 martyrs.

Meanwhile in Khan Younis, south of the Strip, a medical source at Nasser Hospital confirmed that 3 Palestinians were martyred and others injured in an Israeli strike on a tent sheltering displaced persons northwest of Al-Qarara town.
Additionally, two more bodies were recovered from a previous Israeli strike on the Satar area in Khan Younis, as confirmed by both medical sources and eyewitnesses.
