Netanyahu Admits Global Pressure Behind Gaza Aid Amid Plans for Full Occupation
As famine deepens in Gaza, Netanyahu allows limited aid under threat of Western sanctions while vowing total military control of the Strip.
Watan-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday reaffirmed his commitment to the continued destruction and occupation of Gaza, while admitting that external pressure was behind his decision to allow limited humanitarian aid into the besieged Palestinian territory.
In a video posted on Telegram, Netanyahu stated:“We will take control of all the territory of the Gaza Strip—this is what we will do.”
With full U.S. support, Israel has since October 7, 2023, carried out what many describe as genocide in Gaza, resulting in more than 174,000 Palestinians killed or injured, most of them women and children, along with over 11,000 missing persons and hundreds of thousands displaced.
Now in its 79th consecutive day, Israel’s blockade and closure of crossings have imposed a systematic starvation campaign on Gaza’s 2.4 million residents, turning the enclave into a famine zone and claiming increasing numbers of lives.

Netanyahu defended his government’s decision to allow a very limited shipment of humanitarian aid into Gaza on Monday—the first since March 2. According to Israel’s Army Radio, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), Ghassan Alian, said nine aid trucks loaded with basic items including baby food would enter Gaza through Israeli territory within hours.
Netanyahu—wanted by international courts for war crimes—stated that resuming aid deliveries was now necessary to allow Israel to continue its military assault.
He added:“U.S. senators who support Israel come to me and say: ‘We will give you all the help you need to win the war—weapons and UN support—but we can’t bear to see images of mass famine.’”
According to Hebrew-language media outlets including Kan (Israel’s official broadcaster) and Channel 12, this aid entry comes under heavy U.S. and European pressure, including threats of sanctions on Israel.
