Watan-Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, in a statement, criticized the Israeli occupation’s crimes in Gaza and condemned the Zionist call for the use of nuclear weapons, simultaneously criticizing the Arab weakness which has caused imbalance within the Arab nation.
In his statement following a meeting with the President of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Asoomi, al-Tayeb said, “The state of dispersion and weakness that has afflicted the Arab nation has deprived it of its balance and ability to confront its successive crises.”
Sheikh al-Azhar also touched upon the situations in several Arab countries, including the war in Gaza, stating, “One who contemplates the current Arab situation experiences profound pain for what several Arab countries, such as Palestine, Sudan, Libya, Iraq, and others, have reached.”
What is the solution to Arab weakness regarding Gaza?
The Egyptian preacher emphasized that “the Arab world will not regain its power to rise, progress, and confront its crises except through achieving the long-awaited Arab unity and prioritizing the common Arab interest.”
Al-Tayeb added, “Our – as an Arab world – dealing with the Palestinian issue does not reflect what we possess in terms of blessings, strengths, resources, and diplomacy.”
The Zionist Discourse Regarding Gaza Is the Epitome of Terrorism
Sheikh al-Azhar pointed out that “the major colonial powers realize that their ability to control the region depends on the division and dispersion of the Arabs and Muslims, and that this is the only way for them to be present among the Arabs to achieve their plans of plundering the country’s resources and achieving their progress and advancement.”
He continued, “The Zionist discourse about Gaza is the essence of terrorism.” He emphasized, “The Zionists’ calls for the use of nuclear weapons in Gaza, and the likening by Zionist officials of honorable innocent Palestinians – who defend their right to life and their homeland’s right to existence – to animals.”
Regarding the Zionist calls and statements, Sheikh al-Azhar, Ahmed al-Tayeb, affirmed that “this is the essence of terrorism, this Zionist terrorism which enjoys unlimited political support to commit massacres and crimes against innocent Palestinians.”
