Iran Urges U.S. Clarity on Sanctions Amid Ongoing Nuclear Talks
Tehran says it has seen no change in Washington’s position and calls for transparency to avoid repeating past failures in negotiations.
Watan-Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said on Monday that Iran needs to see whether the United States has changed its stance on sanctions, adding, “That’s something we haven’t seen so far.”
He added that the United States must be clear about how sanctions will be lifted to ensure past experiences are not repeated, as both countries continue to negotiate an agreement to resolve the decades-long dispute over Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
