Hamas’ Victory: Hebrew Media Reacts to Al-Qassam Brigades’ New Year’s Eve Rocket Barrage

Watan-The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, launched an intensive rocket barrage on New Year’s Eve, causing widespread reactions.

Footage broadcasted by the Al-Qassam Brigades showed the launching of numerous rockets towards the city of Tel Aviv and its outskirts.

The rockets fired by the Al-Qassam Brigades are of the M90 type.

In a statement, the Al-Qassam Brigades mentioned that they targeted Tel Aviv and its surroundings with a barrage of “M90” missiles in response to the Zionist massacres against civilians in Gaza.

A massive fire broke out in one of the buildings in Tel Aviv due to the resistance rockets launched as the new year began.

These powerful strikes send a clear signal about the resistance’s ability to continue launching rockets at the Israeli occupation despite the brutal war on the Gaza Strip, which has been ongoing for 85 days.

Israeli media comments on the Qassam Brigades’ rocket barrage

The Hebrew channel “13” stated that as the New Year approached, a barrage of rockets was launched from Gaza towards Tel Aviv. It added that at least 20 rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip towards Tel Aviv.

Meanwhile, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth mentioned that Israel welcomed the New Year with a barrage of rockets from Gaza.

The website “Israel Today” explained, “The army claimed to have destroyed 80% of Hamas’ missile capabilities, and today, Hamas greets the New Year by striking at the center of Israel… Hamas has prevailed over us.”

Israeli journalist Hillel Beaton from Channel 14 commented, “The barrage towards Tel Aviv at the beginning of 2024, with no intelligence information or deterrent measures, came after three months of the war, where our forces are deployed throughout most of the sector.”

The Israeli occupation army had claimed victories over Palestinian resistance and worked to undermine it, but the military and field reality indicates otherwise.
