Israeli Correspondent Mocks Military Spokesperson Amid Gaza Hospital Invasion

Watan-The military correspondent for the Hebrew newspaper “Maariv” Noam Amir mocked the spokesperson of the Israeli army, Daniel Haggai, and his repeated contradictory statements regarding the operation to infiltrate the Shifa Complex in northern Gaza.

Haggai had stated that the Israeli forces were conducting what he called a “precise operation” in the area of Shifa Hospital west of Gaza City.

He added that there is intelligence information alleging the use of Shifa Hospital in Gaza by senior leaders of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas.”

The statements made by Haggai sparked ridicule from Israeli military correspondent Noam Amir, who commented, “They started the night with a dramatic announcement of an operation against senior Hamas officials at Shifa Hospital, then continued to lower expectations about the presence of Hamas fighters there, and then began to say that the fighters were firing at the army.”

He added, “This is where the apologies program begins – we are tired of this weakness.”

The Tweet of Israeli Journalist Noam Amir

Israeli journalist Noam Amir’s tweet ridiculing the military spokesperson Israeli occupation forces renewed their invasion of the Shifa Medical Complex west of Gaza City in the northern Gaza Strip amid heavy gunfire and drone flights.

Israeli tanks and military vehicles advanced under heavy gunfire into areas west of Gaza City, besieging the Shifa Medical Complex, which houses thousands of displaced persons, patients, and wounded individuals. Parts of it were targeted with artillery shells and drones.

The targeting of the hospital by the occupation forces and the firing inside it resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of displaced persons. The bodies of the martyrs are still in the hospital courtyards and the surrounding streets.

Second infiltration of its kind

This is the second time Israeli forces have invaded the Shifa Medical Complex since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip on October 7th last year. They first invaded it on November 16th last year after besieging it for at least a week.

At that time, Israeli forces withdrew from the hospital on November 24th, after destroying its courtyards, parts of its buildings, medical equipment, and devices, in addition to the hospital’s power generator.
