Al-Qassam Brigades Display Captured Israeli Weapons During Prisoner Exchange
Seized Israeli Arms Highlight Resistance's Tactical Gains in Gaza.
Watan-In a notable scene during the handover of Israeli captive Agam Berger in Jabalia camp, members of the Al-Qassam Brigades were seen possessing an Israeli weapon, raising widespread questions about its origin and significance. This occurred during the third batch of the first phase of the Gaza agreement, where the Palestinian resistance deliberately showcased weapons seized from occupation forces in previous operations.
The weapon displayed during the handover matches one that Al-Qassam seized during the famous Jabalia ambush in May 2024, when Al-Qassam fighters lured a special Israeli force into a tunnel and engaged them at point-blank range, resulting in the killing, injuring, and capturing of all members of the force.
The footage released by Al-Qassam at that time showed the dragging of an Israeli soldier inside the tunnel and displayed three weapons seized from the soldiers who were neutralized, including the weapon that reappeared during Agam Berger’s handover.
The weapon used by the special Israeli force is the American-made CZ Scorpion EVO 3, equipped with a silencer and a large ammunition magazine, confirming the covert nature of the operation inside the tunnel. Also seen in the circulated footage was the Israeli “Tavor” rifle, the standard rifle for elite forces in the occupation army, which the resistance seized during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and in confrontations in Gaza.

Displaying this type of weapon at this time is not a mere coincidence but carries a fiery message to the Israeli occupation, indicating that the resistance is not only capable of confronting its forces but also possesses and uses its weapons. It also confirms the resistance’s success in seizing advanced enemy equipment, increasing the challenges the occupation faces on the battlefield.
Analysts believe that this repeated display of Israeli weapons during exchanges and handovers aims to enhance the image of the resistance and prove its ability to inflict direct losses on the Israeli occupation, sending a clear message that any special force entering Gaza will not exit safely.
