Trump: Major Progress Toward Gaza Ceasefire, Thanks to Iran Strikes

U.S. President links nuclear attacks on Iran to accelerated peace talks in Gaza, claims breakthrough is imminent.

Watan-U.S. President Donald Trump expressed optimism on Wednesday, saying that “major progress” is being made toward ending the war in the Gaza Strip.

Speaking at a press conference, Trump stated that his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, informed him that a Gaza ceasefire is “very imminent.”

“I believe great progress is being made regarding Gaza, and I think the reason is the strike we carried out,” Trump said, referring to U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear sites. He suggested that these strikes might positively influence broader stability in the Middle East.

“I believe we are making significant progress on Gaza, and because of the strike we carried out, I think we’re going to receive some very good news,” he added.

Trump also claimed that even before the U.S. launched its attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, a Gaza agreement was “very close,” based on information provided by Witkoff.
