Bernie Sanders Condemns Israel’s “Barbaric and Immoral” War on Palestinians
US Senator Urges Democrats to Confront AIPAC and Halt Military Aid Amid Shifting Public Opinion.
Watan-U.S. Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders described Israel’s ongoing war on Palestine as “barbaric and immoral.”
This came in a post on the “X” platform on Sunday, accompanied by a screenshot of a New York Times article headline that reads: “Democrats Need to Understand That Views on Israel Are Changing Fast.”
Sanders added: “The American people understand that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s barbaric war against the Palestinian people is absolutely immoral and violates international law.”
He called on Democrats to stand “courageously” against the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
He further questioned: “When will Democratic leadership muster the courage to confront AIPAC and tell them: No more military aid to Israel?”
The American people understand that Netanyahu’s barbaric war against the Palestinian people is grossly immoral and in violation of international law.

AIPAC was founded in 1951, initially named the American Zionist Public Affairs Committee, then changed its name to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. It is known for its absolute support for the Israeli right-wing and its endorsement of settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 193,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and over 11,000 missing, amid massive destruction and a famine that has killed dozens of children and the elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
